Bones & Stones
David Maskill · Archaeo-ophthalmologist
A physician’s cabinet of curiosities: ancient papyri and things in jars, scorpion venom and star charts, the boundaries of what medicine has been and what it has yet to be.
This is where I collect bones and stones. Most of my projects begin with a tiny puzzle: an odd historical claim, a biological anomaly, or a line in a niche manuscript.
